Austin weather is back to the double digits. FALL IS HERE! We are excited about the season and want to share our favorite places to visit for all things pumpkin. 1. BARTON HILLS FARM FALL FESTIVAL AND PUMPKIN PATCH (BASTROP)

OCTOBER 5, 6, 12-14, 19-20, 26-27 SATURDAY 10 AM - 7 PM SUNDAY AND OCTOBER 14 10 AM - 6 PM

Come out to Barton Hill Farms and make memories with friends and family! They have fun activities for all ages. Take Fall photos and pick out your pumpkin in the pumpkin patch. Get lost in the corn maze, jump on the jumping pillow, playing human fooseball, corn hole, and more. You are sure to have a great day! If you're looking for delicious food and cold drinks, check out the concession stand. They offer Lavell's Lemonade, cold beer, frozen sangria, and other refreshing beverages. They also offer 100% all beef hot dogs, 100% angus beef burgers, frozen lemonade, pulled pork sandwiches, and kettle corn.  Voted Austin's Best Pumpkin Patch!

2.  THINKERY CHILDREN'S MUSEUM - HALLOWEEN HOOTENANNY (AUSTIN)

OCTOBER 26 , 2019    6 PM - 9 PM

Celebrate Halloween, Thinkery-style. Dress in your Halloween best and make this fall celebration spellbindingly fun for all! Enjoy a variety of spooky, gross and silly hands-on STEAM activities for kids and adults as you enjoy this holiday spooktacular.

Price Member Child/Adult: $14 - Standard Child/Adult: $16

Each Family Night explores a different topic, but all include access to Thinkery’s exhibits and a cash bar with snacks, kid-friendly drinks, beer and wine. Depending on each evening’s lineup, you can enjoy entertaining performances, play educational games, tinker with Austin makers, learn from local scientists or explore cutting-edge technology.

3.  PUMPKIN FESTIVAL ELGIN CHRISTMAS TREE FARM (ELGIN)

The farm will be open every day from OCTOBER 5 - 31 for Pumpkin Fun. 

$8 for kids ages 2 – 12 & $10 for 13 & up.

Access a hayride, train rides, animals, mazes, playgrounds, picnic areas, pumpkin photo ops and pumpkin decorating (with pumpkin patch purchase). The Pumpkin Festival will take place OCTOBER 12, 13, 19, 20 (Saturdays from 10 AM – 5:30 PM and Sundays from 12 – 5:30 PM).  Enjoy tasty food concessions, paint pumpkins, go on hayrides and more during these special weekends with a festival atmosphere.

4.  EVERGREEN FARMS PUMPKIN HUNT (ELGIN)

Every Saturday In OCTOBER from 10 AM – 5 PM and every Sunday from 1 – 5 PM   FREE

Customize your own experience on the farm where you can choose which activities to purchase such as the premier “hunt” that includes a wagon ride into the Christmas tree fields where mini pumpkins are hidden in the trees. There are also other activities like a pumpkin launcher, pumpkin maze, pumpkin golf, bounce house and more. Most activities cost $2.50 each, and a fire truck ride around the farm costs $5.

5.  SWEETBERRY FARM AND PUMPKIN PATCH (MARBLE FALLS)

SEPTEMBER 21 – NOVEMBER 10    MON-WED AND THURS - SAT from 8:30 AM – 5:30,  SUNDAYS 11 AM - 5 PM.

They will also be open on Columbus Day from 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM.  CLOSED WEDNESDAYS. 

This Marble Falls farm offers the harvest of fall fun. Admission and parking are free! Pay for the activities you want to do or the pumpkins you choose. Activities include hayrides, a train, a maze, sand art, horse rides, stuff a scarecrow, face painting, giant jumping pillows and homemade ice cream made with the goods from the farm. Prices for most activities range from $2.50 – $5. Voted Austin's Best Farm and Pumpkin Patch! 

6.  THE JERSEY BARNYARD PUMPKIN PATCH (LAGRANGE)

MONDAY - FRIDAY 10 AM - 6 PM    SATURDAY 9 AM - 6 PM    SUNDAY 1 PM - 6 PM 

Every Saturday in October you can enjoy free pumpkin painting from 10 AM – 12 PM with a pumpkin purchase. Here you’ll find pumpkins, squash, gourds, decorative corn and corn stalks. Families can also take a tour of the farm which includes feeding animals, milking a cow and a hay ride. Click here for hours and fees for the farm tours. Take note that on NOV 9 the Jersey Barnyard is hosting the THE GREAT PUMPKIN RUN TEXAS 5K that’s paired with a Fall Farm Festival packed with activities. 

7.  ROBINSON FAMILY FARM (TEMPLE)

SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS 10 AM – 6 PM from SEPTEMBER 21 - NOVEMBER 3

Our farm is family owned and operated located in the heart of Central Texas. Come see what The Robinson Family Farm has become known for. Spend the day making memories searching through the maze.  Take a wagon ride around the pond or like they call it "the tank".  Don't forget to stop by to feed and pet the critters, and who can forget about picking out your Fall favorite pumpkin?  Plus so much more! No admission or parking fees, but a $10 wristband gets you unlimited turns on the fun activities.

8.  TEXAS BIG WORM PUMPKIN PATCH (BERTRAM)

SEPTEMBER 27 – OCTOBER 27 on FRIDAY AND SAT 9 AM – 6 PM     SUNDAY 10 AM – 5 PM

Come experience the fun of fall at Texas Big Worm Pumpkin Patch.  There is something for everyone at the patch including hay rides, pumpkin painting, feeding the farm animals, AND the CORN BIN!  Take your time picking the smallest pumpkin you can find or one so heavy you can't lift it.  They have ALL SHAPES AND SIZES!

Enjoy free admission and parking. Simply choose which activities you wish to pay for such as hayrides, pumpkin painting, feeding animals, and plenty of fall fun.


9.  ANDERSON TERRACE PUMPKIN PATCH (AUSTIN)

SEPTEMBER 27 - OCT 31, 2019

OPEN EVERY DAY FROM 10 AM - 5:30 PM Dog friendly.

Pumpkin, hay bales and corn stalks for sale starting at $2. Prices are based on size.

$5 per person (babies are free). Admission cost applies towards your purchase. Pumpkin painting, refreshments, family photo opportunities, and good old fashioned playing in the patch.


10.  NOMAD RANCH (BERTRAM)

SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS 10 AM - 1PM (Other times by appointment only.) Admission and parking are free.

Located in Bertram, TX, Nomad Ranch invites the family to come pick a great pumpkin from their patch and enjoy a family hayride, pumpkin painting, face painting, and kid-friendly hay maze. Plus, you can feed their cows while you’re there, too! 

11.  CROWE'S NEST FARM (MANOR)

OCTOBER 5, 12, 19, 26  11 AM – 5 PM

$9 per adult, $7 for kids ages 3-12, $3 for 2-year-olds, and free for children under 2.

Calling all families and friends! Please join us for our Family Fall Fest as Crowe’s Nest Farm celebrates our 36th anniversary! This farm offers Fall Family Fun Days each Saturday in October. In addition to pumpkins there will be local vendors selling everything from fresh organic produce, eggs, honey, jam, and bread, to a variety of hand-made crafts.  They also feature special events; raptor shows, snake lessons, a corn and potato cannon booth, and much more. 

12.  GRAFF 7A RANCH - South Texas MAIZE (HONDO)

SEPTEMBER 21 – NOVEMBER 30. 

South Texas Maize is open for Fall Fun on Friday evenings from 6 – 9 PM, Saturdays from 10 AM – 9 PM and Sundays from 12 – 5 PM

$17.50 (ages 3-64), $12 (65+), Free (2 & under)

This pumpkin patch and corn maze is a couple of hours away on Graff 7A Ranch in Hondo, Texas, but it is huge and worth noting.  Featuring a 7-acre maze, hayride, MatterCorn Slide Mountain, Twin Cow Train, Cowboy Ken’s Kiddie Korral, Hay Bale Jump, Colin’s Cluckers, the Whacky Whizzzer, and unlimited jumping on two Corn Pop-Poppers!


13.  TARRYTOWN UNITED METHODIST CHURCH (WEST AUSTIN)

OPEN THROUGH OCTOBER 31    MON - FRI 2PM – 7 PM    SATURDAY 9 AM – 7 PM     SUNDAY  12 – 7 PM

Austin has come to the Pumpkin Patch at Tarrytown United Methodist Church for more than thirty years to celebrate the end of summer and pick out pumpkins with friends and family.

Tarrytown United Methodist Church (TUMC) is located at 2601 Exposition Blvd on the west side of Austin. The Pumpkin Patch is open through October 31 or until all of the pumpkins are gone. We sometimes have to close due to weather or lack of pumpkins, so feel free to contact the TUMC church office (512-472-3111) before your visit.

14.  Scream Hollow Wicked Halloween Park (Smithville)  Ages 12 and Up only

15. BOO AT THE ZOO (AUSTIN)

OCTOBER 4 - 26 FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHTS ONLY

Boo at the Zoo is a fun-filled evening for ghosts and goblins of any age. Come dressed in your Halloween finest (no adult masks, please) and enjoy our Zoo-wide event including the Zoo bedecked in Halloween spookiness, nocturnal animals, an eerie train ride and unlimited passes through our mansion. Tickets to certain special items within Boo at the Zoo have limited seating. 


16.  DARK HARVEST HALLOWEEN HAUNTED FESTIVAL AT PIONEER FARMS (AUSTIN)

OCTOBER 18 - 19, 25 - 26 - 27, 31    7 - 11 PM  ADMISSIONS CLOSE AT 10 PM

Early Bird advance tickets are $15 per adult, and $10 per child. Ticket prices at the gate will cost more.

Creepy scarecrows and gobblins, ghost stories, dark-side spooks and all things scary will be featured at their annual Haunted Halloween Trail festival. This year's event will feature a new Ghost Run haunted trail with spook lights and more, and lots of family fun activities on Scream Street in entrance village, including a pumpkin-carving contest. Live music will be offered nightly in the historic dance hall. Storytellers will be on site all nights to give visitors a peek into their past or future, along with other spooky fun. Historical ties with Halloween abound.

Food concessions will be available each night, from food trucks.


17. GEORGETOWN BOO BASH AND TRUNK OR TREAT (DOWNTOWN GEORGETOWN)

OCTOBER 27, 2019 1 PM - 4 PM

Children & adults are invited to come to the Georgetown Square in costume and enjoy trunk or treating, a LIVE DJ and other fun events provided by local non-profits and other special vendors. Merchants are also open to enjoy the season of witches, goblins, and all those creative creatures out enjoying the afternoon. Free Public Parking.

18. BOB BULLOCK MUSEUM SPOOKTACULAR! (DOWNTOWN AUSTIN)

OCTOBER 25, 2019 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Calling all aliens, Martians, and astronauts to land your rockets at the annual FREE family-friendly Halloween celebration. Join the Bullock Museum in partnership with Girlstart for spacey hands-on STEM fun for the whole family. Plus, explore the Museum's exhibits after hours at this FREE event. Be the first 100 kids at Spooktacular and get a FREE spooky tote bag that's great for trick-or-treating!
