Created by husband-and-wife team Logan and Chelsea Green, this is an ice cream experience you won't forget. With build your own shakes and decadent ice cream cones, this place is pure happiness. Grab a shake and take a long walk through the Domain.  We recommend the Tales Up.  It's a party on a cone.

Former Uchi chef Masazumi Saio and chef Takehiro Asazu cater three different concepts in one small storefront:  casual counter-service Temaki (hand roll) bar, sushi class space, and weekend 45-minute sushi Omakase.  Uroko boasts an exclusive culinary experience at an affordable price.  Thursday nights are sushi class nights and the weekends are reservation only, so book ahead.  This is perfect for a date night or a group experience.  If you love sushi as much as we do, you'll be in heaven here.

We love everything about ATX Cocina.  It's one of our favorite spots to sit outside and drink margaritas with friends smack dab in the middle of downtown Austin. The dishes and drinks at ATX are sophisticated, modern and inspired by traditional Mexican cuisine. The all-natural and ethically sourced ingredients provide for a mouthwatering guilt free dining experience.  From empanadas, tacos, guacamole, and fresh fish to short ribs and lamb, the menu offers something delectable for everyone.  Grab a date or a group of friends and GO.

Friends come to Vista Brewery for the beer and stay for the food and atmosphere.  With acres of beer garden, live music, and ranch views, you'll never want to leave. Their menu is built around the fresh produce grown on their on-site farm, and protein from locally and ethically sourced ranches in central Texas.  You've got to be kidding me . . . . this place is incredible.  Try the Black Angus Burger medium rare with a Spring Salad and a Merriwether Hefeweizen.

An Austin tradition not to be forgotten, the Broken Spoke is what legends are made of.  The likes of Garth Brookes and George Strait have graced the stage, and it's time you pulled up your boot straps and got to dancin'.  The Spoke celebrates with food, folks and fun five days a week, Tuesday through Saturday with dance lessons most nights at 7:30pm.  The last of the true Texas dance halls serves steak, barbecue and Mexican food lunch and dinner Tuesday through Saturday.  If you're looking for something different and exciting, visit this Austin original.  You'll want to come back just as soon as you leave.    

Bands begin at 9pm Wed-Sat. Dance Lessons will be 8-9pm Wed-Sat. Dancehall opens at 7:30pm Tues-Sat.

Homemade cookies, homemade ice cream, and every topping you can imagine.  We say YES.  The ice cream sandwiches at the Baked Bear are the best thing since cookie-dough ice cream only better, because you can literally get cookie dough ice cream in your sandwich here.  Save this treat for your cheat day and go ALL OUT.  Childhood friends, Rob Robbins and Shane Stanger created this concept out of their passion for ice cream.  In our opinion, it's a hole-in-one.

7. Fonda San Miguel,  2330 W. North Loop,  Austin, Tx 

Fonda San Miguel is over 40 years strong, and the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous inside.  With refreshing margaritas, carne asada a la tampiquena, ceviche, and soups to die for, it is reminiscent of the cuisine of Old Mexico.  If you've never been here before, you are in for a treat.  It is one of our absolute favorite places to dine in Austin.

Clark’s is a small chic West Austin neighborhood spot with a great raw bar, house baked sourdough, fresh fish, lobster rolls, pan roasted hamburgers and tasty libations.  This is the perfect spot for a date and a stroll along Austin's famous 6th street.  Sit inside their cozy dining room or outside under the awning of their shaded porch.  The drinks and seafood are spectacular and the atmosphere is just plain cool.
